Icaraizinho sits on the west coast of Ceará, in the municipality of Amontada. The beach is wide and open, lined with coconut groves and dunes; behind them, lagoons and mangroves. The centre is small: a church, a square, sandy streets and a few blocks.
Life follows the rhythm of the sea and the wind. Fishermen leave before dawn, shops are local and restaurants serve the catch of the day. Anyone arriving for a season soon knows everyone by name.
From July to January the wind blows every day, between 20 and 30 knots, side-onshore. It is the wind-sports season: kite, wing and surf, with schools and support facilities on the beach.
The first Brazilian windsurfers discover the wind of Icaraizinho.
Kitesurfing and the first guesthouses arrive.
The school that would become Cabana do Kite is born, still unnamed; in 2010 it takes its current form.
The village’s first luxury guesthouse.
The first high-end condo-hotel.

Pre-launch
Nineteen houses between the beach and the dunes, with beach club, spa and optional hotel operation.
Icaraizinho is following a path similar to the one Jericoacoara took decades ago: a fishing village the world discovers little by little. The difference is the engine. Here, people come for the wind, for kite and wing, and for the slower pace of a beach that has not yet become a mass destination.
High-end hospitality is already part of this trajectory: around 2020, Clube de Mar brought the village its first high-end condo-hotel, and the hotels arriving now follow that path.
For those who choose to live here or spend the season, this changes concrete things: more services in the village, better access, a community that grows with people who stay. And, at the same time, the responsibility to preserve what makes the place what it is: the wide beach, the silence and the nature.
